The area of concern will be cleansed and prepared with chlorhexidine.

Your practitioner will apply a hyaluronic serum and position the hand piece lightly on the skin, moving progressively over the treatment area in a linear cross hatch motion at a fast pace.

Micro needles can penetrate .25mm-1mm depending on the area being treated. A face rejuvenation treatment will commonly have a needle depth of .5mm.

You will feel a prickling sensation whilst the area is being treated.

The whole procedure will take approximately 30 minutes. The microneedling component takes on average 10 minutes to do face and neck.

Immediately after the treatment your skin will be pink and feel warm and tingly, similar to mild sunburn. Nanopore is well tolerated by clients but dryness, scaling, redness and swelling can result for a couple of days after treatment.

You will be sensitive to extreme temperatures and it is wise to stay out of direct sunlight.

This will vary according to your individual situation and treatment. However, most people will benefit from 3-6 sessions, 4 weeks apart.  For ongoing benefits maintenance treatments are recommended.

Mild to moderate swelling can occur immediately after the treatment, but this will resolve within 24-72 hours.

Minor pin point bleeding and sometimes Petechiae (tiny round, brown-purple spots due to bleeding under the skin).

Wound infection is rare but is a possibility. For 12 hours post treatment, do not wash or touch the treated area and do not apply skincare, unless instructed otherwise by your practitioner. For 24 hours, avoid saunas, spas, swimming pools and going to the gym or vigorous exercise. For 5 days post-treatment, do not use active skincare eg. retinoids.
